SHABBY BABY GIRL

HI! Hope everyone is having a good week.  Attending a baby shower and need a card. I thought it turned out so cute I had to share.  I am also entering it in The Shabby Tea Room challenge for this week. The challenge is a baby girl or boy project.

The image I used is from bydigitalpaper on Etsy .  It is a 2.5" circle "Baby Party" collage page.  I used my Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge is cut the scalloped frame at 3.50"  I then heat embossed it with Frantage Shabby Pink embossing powder.  The papers are from my stash white card base, pink and then a pink polka dot. I inked the edges with a pink taffeta ink.  I used some pink lace and pink hand dyed crinkle ribbon.  The flower is recollections from Michael's.  I finished the card off with a banner sentiment hand written in pink glitter.

Hope you like it as much as I do. I hope the Mom to be likes it too.

Challenge # 171 at FCCB, Shaped Card

Hope everyone has had time to craft this weekend.  It's Monday again and time for a new challenge at FCCB. For this challenge the Design Team will be inspiring you with their shaped card creations.  Make sure you check them out.  Here is what I created for this week.

I used Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge for my shaped card.  I cut the card @ 5" using the book feature.  I cut it out twice reversing the image for the back of the card. I then scored it about a 1/4" from the straight edge then adhered it the the front. The scalloped oval I cut at 3.50" using the oblong frame feature in some teal cardstock.  It was a small scrap so I'm not sure what paper collection it is from. As you can see I faux stitched around the frame with a white gel pen.

The paper collection I used for the base of the card is DCWV "Butterfly Garden".  The sentiment I stamped using a bargin from Tuesday Morning $1.99 stamp set from Inkadinkado, "Love and Friendship".  I stamped it out using Key Lime ink from American Crafts ink pad (another TM bargin) then fussy cut it.   It is adhered using pop-dots for dimension. The Memories stamp is from 7 Gypsies.

For my embellishments I used some hand-dyed crinkle ribbon, Prima flowers, also a bargin from TM.  May be I should title this card Tuesday Morning card, LOL.  Each flower has a blush pearl for it's center. Some of the flowers I adhered directly to the card and others I used pop-dots.

That's my card for today.  Hope it inspires you to give this challnege a try.  Let your creative imagination flow and link up at FCCB.

Challenge #170 Fruit Salad at FCCB

Hi! Everyone.  Are you ready for another challenge at FCCB?  Our challenge this week is to make a project with any type of fruit.  Here is my card

The card base is A2 size from "Birthday Wishes" stack from DCWV. I really like this glossy paper and chevrons are in right now.  I cut the pear from Home Accents Cricut cartridge at 3.50". I used the shadow and layer cuts.  I had to piece the layers together after I cut the shapes in four different colors of paper. Brown for the seeds, cream for the fleshy part of the pear and two shades of green for the peel.  I used Euclyptus stickles for the glitter.  The twine is from the Twinery in Honeydew.  The flower and button are from my stash.  To make the sentiment I punched it using a EK success punch and gilded the edges with a gold paint pen.  The sentiment is a stamp from My Pink Stamper and I heat embossed it using Fantage gold from Stampendous.  I love the way it melted.

That's it for my project, now it's your turn.  Make something with a fruit Cricut cut and join the challenge.

FCCB Challenge #169 Set the Scene

It's time for another Challenge Me Monday at FCCB.  This week the challenge is to create a project with a scene.  Anything your imagation can come up with.  As you can see by the Design Team projects there are alot of possibilities.  I choose to use my Country Life Cricut cartridge to make a little farm scene.  All of the cuts on my card are from the same page.

I made this card bigger than normal to fit all my elements on it.  The animals are stamped using a stamp set from Inkadinkado.  It was one of those bargins I got at TJMaxx. I used some cloud background paper and then cut green card stock for the grass.  The barn was cut at 4" and the sentiment at 2".  For the sentiment I used a red glitter pen to faux stitch. I used a remnant of red and white ribbon and tied the bow.  I will have to buy another spool that was the last of it, hope I can find it again.  When I stamped the animals the white parts where the same color as the background.  I fixed them with a white gel pen.  I wanted my cows to be black and white not green and black.  The corn and rows of plants where also stamps in this set.

This was lots of fun to make. Hope you will be inspired by the Design Team projects and add your own scene.  Happy crafting and most of all have fun.

*CHERRY PIE*

Hi! Everyone. Here to post a new card for a few challenges. As you can guess my card theme is cherry pie. Here it is

To make this card I used my Cricut cartridge, Country Life.
The pie is cut at 3" and layered following the image in the book.  I used red and white polka dot paper from Echo Park" Dots and Strips" for my background and aqua and white polka dot for my pie tin.  The card base is blue with rounded corners.  I hand wrote my sentiment on the tag using a red glitter pen.  The twine is from the Twinery. I added red stickles to the pie to make it look like the cherry filling was ozzing out. The little recipe card is handwritten and attached with a red paperclip. I used red brads to embellish my tag and stitched around it with the red glitter pen. I also stitched around the card with a white gel pen.

I am entering the card in the following challenges
Shabby Tea Room - photo inspiration use red, aqua, twine and/or burlap
Die Cuttin Divas - ruby red

Wish me luck and keep crafting.

Shabby Thank You

Today I made a Thank You card.  I am entering it into the following challenges:
Shabby Tea Room - Glorious flowers and use newsprint
and
My Creative Time - designer challenge, sqaure card.

Here is my entry

My card is 5" square ( My Creative Time).  I used Coredinations cardstock in brown and cream.  The newsprint (Shabby Tea Room) is open stock paper from Joann's Paper Pizazz. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo after I tore them. The image is from Geko Galz, "Nature's Child" collage sheet. I cut the frame from Elegant edges Cricut cartridge at 2.5".  I then embossed it with Frantage Shabby Pink from Stampendous and used pop dots to lift it off the background..  I really like the way it turned out. The flowers are Prima. I made the stickpin and used ink to color the white ribbon pink. The sentiment is stamped using "Bloom Where You are Planted" by Emma at My Creative Time. I stamped it right onto the ribbon using Staz On in black. The little butterfly charm is from a swap, thanks Kimberlee.

I believe my card fits the challenge criteria.
Thanks for stopping by and keep crafting.

PATRIOTIC CARD

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Hope everyone is enjoying their day.
To celebrate Independence Day I have made this card.

I used the sketch from Die Cuttin Diva's and the inspiration photo from Pink Elephant. Simon Says Stamp and Bitten By the Bug 2  challenges this week are red, white and blue and a patriotic theme. Needless to say I am entering this card into these challenges.
To make this card I used my Rosettes and Ribbons Cricut cartridge. I cut the rosette at 1.5". The paper I used is open cardstock from Joann's.  The red and white striped paper is from Echo Park "Dots and Strips". I used red corragated paper from Coredinations in the middle of the rosette and for my large strips. I color washed them with white paint.  The USA are Thickers glitter blue stickers. I outlined the label in red Stickles.
The red, white and blue beads are from Wal Mart. I strung them on red hemp. The white star is a brad. I made this card so it opens on the side. I rounded the corners with my EK Success corner punch.

I think my card is very patriotic and celebrates the 4th of July perfectly.

Join me in the above challenges and Good Luck.

FCCB Challenge # Cute as a Bug

It's time for another challenge at FCCB.  This week it's Cute as a Bug.  I'm not sure if a snail is a bug but I think it is so here is my Glam snail.

She's all made up and wearing her bling.  I made this card using some paper scraps so I am not sure what paper it is.  She is cut at 3" using Create-a-Critter. The huge stamp is also cut from this cartridge. I used some hand dyed crinkle ribbon in green.  The snail mail is from My Creative Time.  I love all the different patterns together.  To make sure she popped off the page and was the main focus I used foam pop dots.

This was lots of fun to make.  Hope you will join the challenge and link your project to FCCB.

CHALLENGE #167 at FCCB

4th of July Cricut Crawl Challenge # 167 Red White and Blue
Welcome to Kim Kreation's and the 4th of July Fantabulous Cricut Crawl - Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop!!

In honor of the 4th of July holiday, we're having a Red, White and Blue Crawl.  Each Design Team member has created a fabulous project using Red, White and Blue as the main colors, and of course at least one Cricut cut!

If you've come from JoNeita at Create with Joneita, you're in the right place!  If you've just happened across my blog and would like to see all the fabulous Design Team creations head on over to Fantabulous Cricut HERE  to start at the beginning.

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog!  There will be Blog Candy along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, and there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant who submits a "Red White and Blue" project at FCCB!

Here is my project.
I love my country and am very patriotic. The card I made is to celebrate Independence Day.

I used Storybook cartridge to cut out the four in blue. The shadow feature was used to cut silver paper from DCWV Metallic Stack.  For the center I cut a piece of white cardstock 3 x 5 1/2".  This left a 1/2" border on both sides of the silver A2 card base.  I then cut the blue and punched stars. The red and white strips are 1" wide . I put glue on the white base and alternated the strips.  When they where all stuck down I trimmed the overhang.  I attached it to the card and then glued the strips of ribbon on each side.  The four is pop dotted and so is the banner, which is cut and embossed using a Spellbinders die.  Using a silver glitter pen I wrote Independence Day and July 2013. The blue glitter star is from a sticker pack.  I also used the silver glitter pen to do the faux stitching.

Your next stop is LB at Cool Beans By LB.  Make sure to visit all the stops along the way and when you get done, make sure you link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post!!
