MIX AND MATCH CHALLENGE # 195 AT FCCB

It's time for another challenge at FCCB.  This week our projects are to contain 3 different patterns of paper. I have been working on a banner for a baby shower. I used alot of different patterns on each of the flags all from the same paper stack "Little Miss" from DCWV.

I used Elegant Edges and Storybook for this banner. I cut the letters to spell the baby's name, Autumn. I cut a different shape using different patterns of paper from Elegant Edges.

I purchased the chipboard banner from Hobby Lobby. I painted the back with pink paint then adhered the paper to the front. The layers consist of patterned paper, a white paper doilie, the cut shapes of paper and then the letters.  It's hard to tell in my picture but there is a sublte pattern on the paper I used for the letters.

I used prima flowers and little flat back pearls for the centers.  The two butterflies are cut from the paper. I used baby blue stickles for some sparkle and another flat back pearl on the butterflies. I will be stringing it together with pink and green ribbon from my stash.

After the baby shower the banner will be used as a nursery wall decoration. Great idea for a gift don't you think?  I hope the mom-to-be loves it. I like the way it turned out.

Our sponsor for this week is Jaded Blossom.

Show us your Mix and Match projects for a chance to win a set of stamps or be picked as a Design Team Top 5.  Have fun and link up.

Challenge # 194 We Love Snowmen at FCCB

Hi! everyone. I love snowmen but where I live this card is the closest I will come to making a snowman. I made my snowman traditional, with a top hat and buttons as well as a carrot for his nose and coal (black pearls) for his eyes.  I cut my snowman from Doodlecharms at 3".

The paper I used is Recollections Holly Day Wishes 6x6 pad and Kraft paper for the base. I cut the first layer of the snowman  in Kraft so his arms would look like branches. The second layer is cut from white card stock and I glittered it using Martha Stewart glitter.  Before I put the layers together I attached the little blue button brads. For his scarf I tied a piece of red gingham ribbon around his neck and frayed the edges.  The hat is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. I used black Glossy Accents for the band and adhered a tiny snowflake. I added a small blue gemstone for some bling. I think all the additions really spruced him up otherwise he was pretty boring.

The banner is made using a Christmas stamp set from Cosmo Cricket. I stamped it on white cardstock and then colored it with markers. I cut each of the flags out and glued them to a piece of twine and attached with brads. The Let it Snow tag is from the paper collection. I attached it with another red brad.

This week our sponsor is Jaded Blossom. They will be giving away a stamp set to our lucky winner so make a snowman and link up to our chaleenge at FCCB.

Hope my snowman has inspired you as well as the DT snowmen.  There are a lot of variety using different cartridges and snowmen cuts. So check out our blog.

CHALLENGE # 193 WINTER FUN

It's time for another challenge at FCCB. This week the challenge is Winter Fun.
The cold weather here in the South made it easy to get inspired to make a winter themed card.

I used Create-A-Critter Cricut cartridge and Artic Wishes paper from DCWV to make this cute card.

The blue background paper is white card stock that I sprayed with Stream alcohol ink and Jack Frost Glimmer Mist.  I punched out the snowflakes from post it note paper for a mask and adhered them randomly before spraying.  The other snowflakes are cut outs from the paper and an embellishment sticker I bought at Micheal's. I added a little gemstone for some bling.

The seal is cut at 3.00" I used pop dots to adhered him to the card and added this cute bow tie that I made using a tutorial and template download from Annette Green. At the end of her tutorial she says they are addictive and she is right. I've been making them and putting them on everything. Here's one I made for a Christmas project.

My Happy Winter sentiment is from the Artic Wishes paper. The finishing touch was stitching around the card with a blue glitter pen.

For this card I did finish the inside as well.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Kimberly at My Craft Spot

Hope my card has inspired you to make a winter fun themed card.
Put on your creative thinking cap and get to work. Then link your project to our challnege for this week. Most of all have fun.

FCCB Cricut Crawl

Welcome to a New Year and to our new  FCCB Design Team for 2014

If you arrived here from Pamela one of our newbie Design Team members then your in the right place. I made my card for today using the Cricut cartridge Celebrate with a Flourish.

I used silver paper for my card base at A2 size. I cut the image at 3.00" and embossed it with silver embossing powder. I then inked a doily with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and adhered the image on top. The hat layer is cut from Coredinations paper. The banner 2014 and the New Year Sentiment are glitter stickers. For a little bling I added the gemstone and the white and silver ribbon.

Hope you will join our challenge this week and create a card with a sentiment.
Enjoy all the Design team projects on our Cricut Crawl.

The next DT member on the crawl is Lynn B.

HOLIDAY PROJECTS AT FCCB

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
CRAFTY BLOGGERS

Since we are taking a few weeks off as a Design Team at FCCB each day one Design Team member is sharing a project with everyone. For my project I wanted to share a Christmas mini album I made using my Cricut and the Elegant Edges cartridge. The paper I used was DCWV Evergreen stack and embellishments from several companies. The main set is from a sticker set I bought at Tuesday Morning for .99 cents.

This post will have alot of pictures so enjoy all the details of each page.
The cover and charms that I made. I used my bind-it-all to put it together.

Inside cover and first page. My idea for this album was to put pictures of a child's Christmas. These pages are for pictures with Santa. I cut the tags with my George and Basic Shapes.

These pages are for recording a wish list.

Next, letter to Santa.

Of course I had to include a page for pictures of cookies for Santa. My boys always liked to make cookies and put out a glass of milk on Christmas eve.

The reminder of the pages are made for pictures taken Christmas morning opening presents.

The tab peeking out on the right side is another double-sided photo mat for more pictures.

I love the way it turned out. Hope your like it too. I haven't posted a mini album in awhile so I wanted to share this one.

Make sure you check Fantabulous Cricut  Challenge Blog all through the Holidays to see what the Design Team members have to share.  Be sure to check in after the New Year to met all the new Design Team members. We will be having a Cricut Crawl and a new challenge.

Happy Holidays and
