Sketch Challenge #204 at FCCB

FCCB challenge for this week is to use this sketch for your project.

.

Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I made tags for baby gifts.  I have some co-workers who are pregnant. So I made one for a boy and one for a girl using "Little Miss" and "Little Mister" DCWV stacks.
The tags were cut from the paper using George and Basic Shapes @ 5".  I embellished them with a star cut from this cartridge. I used coordinating Stickles for some shine on each star. The girlie one has a flower and the boy one has a pinwheel brad.  For the B is for Baby I used the cards from the paper stack.  I used hand dyed crinkle ribbon in yellow and pink.

FCCB Challenge # 203 Bye Bye Birdie

For this weeks challenge create a project with a bird. Spring is fast approaching and the birds are everywhere. I was looking out my window while I was making this card and the yard was full of birds. Lots of inspiration! I used  Cricut cartridge Happly Ever After for my bird cut.

For my sentiment I heat embossed Happy Birthday with silver embossing powder.  I made my background paper using watercolor paper. I used my craft mat to create this effect. First I used watercolor markers in green and blue. I just scribbled a few lines of the color onto the mat then sprayed it with water.  I then put the paper into the wet color, when I lifted the paper this was the results. I think it looks like grass and sky with maybe a few clouds. I used brown twine for my branch. The bird is on pop-dots for dimension and I added a black flat back pearl for his eye. I actually used some pieces of coordinating scraps of paper to piece him together. For the final touch I added a button from my stash.

So play along and create a project with a bird. Don't forget to use a Cricut cut on your creation then link it to our challenge at FCCB.

Thanks for looking and good luck

Challenge # 202 at FCCB, Pinch Me, Use Green

Happy St. Patrick's Day
This is the day we all get to be a little Irish.
The challenge at FCCB this week is to use the color GREEN. Well what's more green than a shamrock.

I made my shaker card using the shamrock cut on the Cricut cartridge Paper Doll Dress Up. The tag was cut from George and Basic shapes using gold paper and the the stamped sentiment was added.  I found the shamrock ribbon at Joann's.  The banner is cut from a Spellbinders die out of the gold paper and stamped with March 17.  I cut two of the shamrocks from the ribbon.  The background paper is from DCWV "Chateau Lavender" stack.

As the sentiment says "Wishing you Luck all the day through & more than a wee bit of Happiness, too!

Join the challenge this week and have fun.

Spring at Shabby Tea Room

Hi! everyone been working on some Spring  and Easter projects. Ready for some warm weather. Personally I'am done with Winter. It's Spring Break here and we are reaching the 70 degree mark. Here is a card I made and I will be linking it to the challenge at Shabby Tea Room.

I used a white card base and then embossed another layer with polks dots. I rounded the corners and used ink to the edges in Peacock Feathers. I stamped this image and colored it with Distress Markers. For the blue polka dot frame I cut the oval from Elegant edges Cricut cartridge.  I made the banner with a Spellbinders die cut in white vellum. The spring sentiment are stickers. I used pop dots to give some dimension to the banner and the frame.  I finished off my card with a blue/white polka dot ribbon. The bird is a metal embellishment from Tim Holtz.

Come and join the challenge this week at Shabby Tea Room using a Spring theme, flowers, a bird and baby blue.
Thanks for looking.

FCCB Challenge # 201 Use the Sketch

This week we are challenging everyone with a Sketch. Here is the card I made for a Birthday boy. My niece's little boy turned 2. I used George and Basic Shapes cartridge for my circle and squares. I just rounded the corners with my corner punch. It was quick and easy and I was in a hurry because as usual I waited to the last minute.

The paper stack is "Kidlet" from DCWV. Some cute paper for little boys . I love this red and kraft background with the different modes of transportation.  The base of my card is also Kraft paper. The letters and number are stickers, which also made it fast to put together. The circle and the belly band ( it was a border strip) are from the paper stack also.

Here is the sketch

Make a project and link it to FCCB. Have fun creating and play along.

Challenge # 200 at FCCB Pick a Holiday

The weeks challenge at FCCB is to make a project for any holiday, including birthdays. My idea was to build up my stash of go to cards. The card I made could be used for a feminine child birthday of any age. I made a Ballerina Monkey using Create-a-Critter cartridge.

I used "Birthday Wishes" DCWV stack for my background and the sentiment Celebrate.  The monkey is cut at 5". I made the ballerina tutu out of tulle and ribbon. I made the bow and added the flower and flat back pearl. To make the ballerina slippers I tied ribbon around the feet and tied it in a bow then traced the feet onto pink paper and cut them out. I adhered the slippers over the ribbon.

I think she turned out adorable. I have a couple of little nieces who would like her too.

Join our challenge this week and make a project for any holiday.
